元代中峰明本“書類柳葉”論析

An Analysis of Zhongfeng Mingben's"Willow Leaf-Like Calligraphy"

元代僧人中峰明本書法有“柳葉體”之稱,勞悟達認爲“柳葉體”説法來自劉璋對中峰明本“書類柳葉”的評説,且“柳葉體”是小篆的十一種類型之一,其早期術語爲“柳葉篆”。本文就勞氏的觀點展開探討,通過研究發現“柳葉篆”不僅是古文書體的指稱,同時也可以表示一種用筆方法。中峰明本“類柳葉”行書頗具禪機,用筆特徵也相當鮮明,其汲納章草所形成的獨特書風與楊維楨則見一致,在元代書法史上獨標一幟,“自是一家”。

Zhongfeng Mingben's calligraphy is known as“the willow leaf style”柳葉體.Uta Lauer believes that this name comes from Liu Zhang's remark that Zhongfeng Mingben's calligraphy resembles willow leaves.Not only is the willow leaf style one of the eleven forms of the zhuan script,but its early appellation is actually“willow leaf zhuan script”.This article focuses on Uta Lauer s point and further explores the fact that the willow leaf zhuan is not only an ancient Chinese calligraphic script,but also a method of brushwork.Zhongfeng Mingben's willow leaf-like semi-cursive script is full of Zen implications,and the characteristics of his brushwork are very distinctive;his writing,incorporating the style of the Zhang cursive script,is comparable to that of Yang Weizhen and is unique in the calligraphy of the Yuan Dynasty.
