On June 3,2014,the State Council approved the establishment of Qingdao West Coast New Area,marking it as the ninth national-level new area.Over the past decade,the West Coast New Area has boldly pioneered its own path of development with a spirit of innovation and a willingness to explore and take the lead.The ocean has shaped the distinct characteristics and advantages of Qingdao West Coast New Area.A number of significant national projects have emerged from this area and reached global prominence,with the New Area actively exploring cuttingedge maritime fields.
