Legend of Hushan Hill

牟平区莒格庄镇院下水库向南不远处有一座山,名叫虎山。虎山海拔370多米,与昆嵛山遥遥相对。她虽然没有昆嵛山那样钟灵毓秀,没有“五岳之首”泰山那样享有“天下第一山”之美誉,却也有着自己神幻般的传说故事。传说很久很久以前,有一位丑陋无比身材矮小的青年男子生活在虎山附近。这位男子从小没爹没妈,无依无靠,只能靠吃山上的野果充饥,喝山上的露水解渴。因为他没有名字,长得又丑,所以人们就叫他丑儿。

Hustrict.With an elevation of over 370 meters,Hushan Hill stands opposite to Kunyu Mountain in the distance.Although it does not possess the enchanting beauty of Kunyu Mountain or the reputation of Taishan Mountain as"the first mountain under heaven",Hushan Hill has its own legendary tales.A long,long time ago,there was a young man living near Hushan Hill.He was extremely ugly and short in stature.When he was very young,his parents died,leaving him alone in the world.Since then he lived on the hill and ate wild fruits when he was hungry and drank dew when he was thirsty.Because he had no name and was very ugly,people simply called him Chouer,meaning"ugly boy".
