New Textual Research into the Compilers of Yutai Xinyong

中国文学史上的著名经典《玉台新咏》的编撰者为徐陵,自唐以来似乎已成定论。21世纪初中国当代著名文学史专家章培恒先生提出新的见解,认为《玉台新咏》实为张丽华所“撰录”(编撰)。这一新观点引起了学术界的广泛关注,众说纷纭。《玉台新咏》的“编辑”过程是非常复杂的。这个过程甚至可以说是一个浩大的工程,它可以划分为几个阶段,而在不同的阶段有不同的人参与,《玉台新咏》的“编辑”是集体合作的成果。《玉台新咏》的编辑者是徐陵,“丽人”是“撰录”者,“高楼红粉”是校对者。《玉台新咏》除了《玉台新咏序》之外,还有“小序”,即编撰者为诗集中的个别诗篇所加的序言。“小序”乃是考证《玉台新咏》编撰人的重要“内证”。

The famous classic Yutai Xinyong in Chinese literary history is compiled by Xu Ling,which has been taken as the final conclusion ever since the Tang Dynasty.At the start of the twenty-first century,Zhang Peiheng,a famous contemporary Chinese literature history expert,put forward the new viewpoint that Yutai Xinyong was“compiled”by Zhang Lihua,which has drawn extensive attention in the academic world and opinions have varied.The compiling process of Yutai Xinyong is very complicated and it is even called a huge project.It can be divided into different phases,and in each of them different compilers participate.The“compilation”of Yutai Xinyong is thus the achievement of collective work.The compiler of Yutai Xinyong is Xu Ling,“Liren”is its“writer and compiler”,and“Gaolou Hongfen”is its proofreader.Besides Preface to Yutai Xinyong,there is also“preface to one poem”,namely the added preface to one poem in the collection by the compilers.“Preface to one poem”is the important“inner proof”of textual research into the compilers.
