The physicochemical properties of geraniol was introduced,and then the determination of geraniol by analytical methods such as high performance liquid chromatography,ultra high performance liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry,gas chromatography,and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry in recent years were summarized,the advantages and disadvantages of different analytical methods were expounded.It has reference value for the development of efficient and convenient analysis and detection technology of geraniol.
