The article introduces the basic concept of the new power system,its main components and its difference with the traditional power grid,elaborates the role,advantages and main application scenarios of optical communication technology in the new power system,analyzes the key technologies of optical communication in the new power system,including high-efficiency optical transmitting and receiving technology,ultra-high-density wavelength-division multiplexing technology,and optical communication network optimization and scheduling technology.This paper discusses the challenges and solutions faced by optical communication technology in new power systems,and elaborates specific application cases,looking forward to the development prospects and trends of optical communication technology in new power systems.
