中国当代非虚构文学的英译由英文版文学杂志肇始,逐渐发展到以单行本的英语出版为主流方式。随着中国的进步与发展,单行本的英译出版也由过去单一的“译入”模式发展到现在的“译入”与“译出”模式并举,昭示了国际社会了解真实中国的迫切需求,也反映出在中国文化走出去中非虚构文学所承载的独有价值与作用。非虚构文学面向事实,依赖真人真事展开叙事,其英译和传播对构建真实的中国国际形象至关重要。因此,有必要覆盖整个翻译传播链,开展以中国当代非虚构文学英译为专题的理论研究,以强化我国非虚构文学英译的应有价值和功用。

The English translation of contemporary Chinese non-fiction literature began with publication in English literary magazines and gradually developed into the major mode,English publication in the form of standalone books.With the development of China,the English publication of standalone books has evolved from a past pattern of solely“in-coming translation”to a current model that includes both“in-coming translation”and“out-going translation”,indicating the urgent need of the international community to understand the real China and reflecting the unique value and role of non-fiction literature in the process of Chinese culture going global.Non-fiction literature faces facts and relies on real people and events to develop narratives,making its English translation and dissemination crucial for constructing an authentic international image of China.Therefore,it is necessary to cover the entire translation and dissemination chain and to conduct theoretical research on the English translation of contemporary Chinese non-fiction literature as a special topic,to enhance its inherent value and function.
