The establishment and implementation of a museum evaluation and grading management system is not only an important part of the museum sector construction,but also an important approach to promote the sustainable development of museums.Since the launch of the museum evaluation and grading operation in 2008,the evaluation standards of Chinese museums have been continuously improved,and the evaluation process has become increasingly scientific and professional.The operation has become an important benchmark to show and guide the high-quality development of museums.In the fifth round of national museum grading,the museums newly entitled as National First Grade played an important role,presenting the large number and high quality of the museums in new era.They also showcased trends of increasing quality,more diverse types,balanced and full development,as well as more balanced levels of administrative status.They have also served as pivotal support to promote the systematic and professional development,the overall public image and awareness of museum sector.
