The coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region is an important part of China’s regional development strategy system, which has been widely concerned by academics for a long time. The current coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region is facing a new situation and new tasks, and related research needs to be further deepened,so it is necessary to review and summarize the research in the past decade.Generally, since 2014,research on the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region has been characterized by a close correlation between research enthusiasm and developmental stages, rich themes with clear frameworks, the coexistence of qualitative and quantitative studies, and notable interdisciplinary and regional characteristics in its outcomes.Specifically, existing research is primarily based on five major perspectives:economic geography, new economic geography, regional economics, institutional economics, and complex systems theory. It explores from three different spatial scales:provincial, municipal, and county levels. The main analytical methods used include quantitative statistics, econometric analysis,input-output analysis, and case comparison.Based on the new historical mission of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei,the future research should be deepened in areas such as how to implement the new development concept, how to integrate into the new development pattern, and how to deeply integrate with other major regional development strategies.
