摘要
维多利亚时代是大英帝国的巅峰时期,大致形成了现代艺术市场的基本模式。英国资产阶级迅速发展,艺术消费群体扩大,其间涌现了大批艺术经纪人和从事艺术展览的画廊、机构,从而成为世界领先的艺术市场。文章以1837—2022年的英国艺术品市场为例,讨论其艺术市场的运行机制和制度建设的演变轨迹,期望能对当代中国艺术市场的制度建设有所启示。
The Victorian era was the peak of the BritishEmpire,and it roughlyformedthebasicmodel of the modern art market. The rapiddevelopment of the British bourgeoisie andthe expansion of the art consumption groupled tothe emergence of a largenumberof art agents and galleries and institutionsengaged in art exhibitions, making it theworld's leading art market. At the same time,relevant laws and cultural policies for theart market were gradually established andimproved, forming a unique mechanism forthe operation of the art market. Taking theBritish art market from 1837 to 2022 as anexample, this article discusses the evolutionof its operating mechanism and institutionalconstruction, hoping to shed some light on theinstitutional construction of the contemporaryChinese art market.
