Ancient Musical Literature in Historical Refraction-Reflection on the Historiography of Chinese Music(Part X)

在古代历史中,文人们积累了汗牛充栋的音乐文献。除了正史中的乐志、律志的音乐文献、古代典章制度著述,古代音乐史研究还需注重历代文集、笔记、杂记、杂著等。这些文献中常存见较集中的乐论、琴学、歌舞、乐律等文献,为我们研究古代音乐遗存提供了直接史料与旁证材料。尽管它们只是音乐史料,却能折射出历史文化的印记,为古代音乐史研究提供极大的便利。

In China,ancient literati accumulated a vast amount of musical literature during the course of history.In addition to official historical records and writings about music,laws,and regulations,we should consider anthologies,notes,and miscellaneous works from previous dynasties when researching ancient music history.These sources contain materials on music theory,studies of the qin,singing and dancing,musical temperament,and more.They serve as direct historical materials and indirect evidence for studying ancient music relics.Despite solely being historical materials,they shed light on the impact of history and culture,making them valuable resources for our research on ancient music history.
