The article describes the central role of smart grids in power system monitoring,control,optimization and management by analyzing the characteristics,architecture,and key technology components of smart grids.Special attention is given to the components and applications of automation technologies in smart grids.Focuses on the key position of communication technology in smart grid,including the networking technology of wide area network and local area network,the application of communication protocols,and the construction of smart grid application network.Through comprehensive analysis of automation and communication technologies,it provides theoretical guidance and practical support for the further development of smart grids and the intelligentization of power systems.
