摘要
中西方学界对诺贝尔文学奖得主约翰·斯坦贝克作品的评价褒贬不一,致使他在世界文坛中经历了浮浮沉沉。自20世纪70年代欧美生态批评兴起之后,国内外学者对其研究发生了转向,多为探讨作品中的生态思想,但对作家生态情怀溯源的系统性研究较为鲜见。斯坦贝克生态情怀的溯源研究对读者理解作家在作品中呈现出的生态关怀具有重要意义。
John Steinbeck,the Nobel Prize winner for Literature,has experienced ups and downs in the world literary arena due to the different evaluation of his works by the Chinese and western academic circles.However,since the rise of Eco-criticism in Europe and the United States in the 1970s,scholars at home and abroad have turned to study it,mostly to explore the ecological ideas in the works,but there are few systematic studies on the origin of the writer's ecological feelings.The research on the origin of Steinbeck's ecological concern is of great significance for readers to understand the writer's ecological thought in his works.
