Research progress on growth differentiation factor 15 and chronic kidney disease and its cardiovascular complications

慢性肾脏病是全球关注的重大健康问题,发病隐匿,早期临床症状不典型且容易并发心血管疾病。越来越多的研究表明,生长分化因子15(GDF15)在慢性肾脏病及心血管疾病中的表达上调,不仅可以预测CKD进展及心血管不良事件,而且具有作为肾脏疾病和心血管疾病的生物标志物和保护因子的双重作用。通过对GDF15与慢性肾脏病及其常见的心血管并发症的相关研究进行综述,以便对慢性肾脏病并发心血管疾病的诊治、风险评估及预后提供理论支持。

Chronic kidney disease(CKD)is a major health problem of global concern,with insidious onset,atypical early clinical symptoms and easily complicated by cardiovascular disease.More and more studies have shown that the up-regulation of growth differentiation factor 15(GDF15)expression in CKD and cardiovascular diseases.It not only predicts CKD progression and adverse cardiovascular events,but also has a dual role as a biomarker and a protective factor for both kidney disease and cardiovascular diseases.This paper reviews the relevant studies on GDF15 and chronic kidney disease and its common cardiovascular complications,in order to provide theoretical support for the diagnosis and treatment,risk assessment and prognosis of chronic kidney disease complicated with cardiovascular diseases.
