Advanced mathematics is a fundamental discipline in higher education,which has teaching value in cultivating students'rational thinking,enhancing their logical and problem-solving abilities.Under the background of cultivating applied talents,adjusting the teaching strategies in higher mathematics classrooms appropriately can promote the comprehensive development of students.The article provides an overview of the cultivation of applied talents,explores the current problems in higher mathematics classroom teaching,and points out that the reform strategy of higher mathematics classroom teaching based on the cultivation of applied talents mainly improves teaching quality through updating teaching concepts,strengthening practical teaching,innovating teaching methods,and improving evaluation systems,thereby cultivating students'mathematical subject literacy and application abilities.
