摘要
希拉·斯里·普拉卡什是第一位在印度创办事务所的女性建筑师。在特殊社会背景下,希拉首创并发展“互惠设计理论”,形成了全过程可持续发展的设计理念,超前地提出了将印度乃至全球建设成更加生态、公平、文明的现实社会的实际方案。该设计哲学强调尊重自然、承袭本土文化和平衡社会层级,并与时俱进地与现代建筑科学有机结合,在宏观至微观的多个维度满足可持续需求。文章通过对其经历、作品及思想的研究,重点分析希拉如何作为建筑师在“城市”“社会”“建筑”三个层面达成发展的最终目标。希拉的创作理论和实践不仅为印度的社会问题提供了一种优良的解决方案,对中国当下的可持续设计和城市整体规划也具有一定的借鉴意义。
Sheila Sri Prakash is the first female architect to establish an office in India.She pioneered and developed the“reciprocal design theory”,a concept of sustainable development for the whole process which was ahead of its time in proposing solutions to make India and the world more ecological,equitable and civilised.The theory emphasises respect for nature,the inheritance of indigenous cultures and balance of social classes.Through the study of her experiences,works and thoughts,the article analyses how Sheila achieved the goal of development on three levels:“city”“society”and“architecture”.Her theory and practice provide solutions to social problems not only in India but also in China.
