Tour of the Old Site of Zhejiang Provincial Library

现存的浙江省立图书馆的馆舍旧址,主要有孤山路馆舍、大学路馆舍两处。孤山路馆舍中的白楼,与大学路馆舍是清末、民国时期专门建造的图书馆建筑,外型具有西洋风格,内部空间宽敞,表现出当时图书馆建设西洋化的观念。在陈训慈等历任馆长的辛苦经营下,浙江省立图书馆在馆藏资源、业务管理、推广事业、学术研究等方面均取得不菲成绩,整体发展水平居国内领先地位。馆藏文澜阁《四库全书》的数次钞补,及其在日本侵华战争时期的移迁经历,更是谱写了一曲动人的历史乐章。

The surviving sites of the former Zhejiang Provincial Library are primarily located on Gushan Road and Daxue Road.The White Building on Gushan Road and the facility on Daxue Road were specifically constructed as library buildings during the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China period.These buildings feature Western architectural styles and spacious interiors,reflecting the era's trend of Westernizing library construction.Under the diligent stewardship of directors such as Chen Xunci,the Zhejiang Provincial Library achieved notable success in collection development,business management,cultural promotion,and academic research,establishing itself as a national leader.The multiple transcriptions and supplements of its Wen Lan Ge Si Ku Quan Shu(Complete Library of Four Treasures),and its relocation during the Japanese invasion of China,create a poignant chapter in its history.
