采用SPSS26.0及AMOS24.0软件进行统计分析。 Objective To explore the preventive effects of physical activities on physical aggression among senior pupils, with a particular focus on the mediating role of emotional regulation.By proposing and testing a mediating model, this research seeks to provide empirical evidence for understanding the preventive effects of sports activities on adolescent aggression and the underlying pathways. Methods Using a stratified sampling method,a total of 1250 upper-grade(fourth to sixth grade)elementary school students from a primary school in Yangzhou City were selected. Each student voluntarily participated and signed an informed consent form, completing a set of questionnaires via Wenjuanxing(an online survey platform). The questionnaire set comprised three parts:the Youth Physical Activity Questionnaire, the Child Version of Positive and Negative Affect Scale, and the Adolescent Aggression Scale.Following instructions provided by the examiner, students accessed the online questionnaire through computers. After excluding 54 invalid questionnaires,a total of 1196 valid questionnaires were obtained.Statistical analysis was conducted using SPSS 26.0 and AMOS 24.0 software.Results①Upper-grade elementary school students'scores in sports activities, emotions, and physical aggression were all at the average level of the scales.②Boys scored higher than girls in sports activities, positive emotions, and physical aggression.Sixthgrade students scored lower than fourth and fifth graders in sports activities and positive emotions.Students from single-parent families scored higher in negative emotions and physical aggression compared to non-single-parent families.③The correlation and regression analysis results indicated that sports activities explain 8%of the variance in physical aggression among upper-grade elementary school students, while emotions explain 9%of aggressive behavior among these students.④The model fitting results showed that emotions partially mediate the influence of sports activities on physical aggression among upper-grade elementary school students. Conclusion Physical activities serve as an effective means to influence physical aggression among upper-grade elementary school students. They can not only directly prevent physical aggressive behaviors among these students, but also indirectly prevent such behaviors by influencing their emotions.
