The public security police station is the main battlefield for cracking down on illegal crimes and the bridgehead for protecting the safety of the people.A detailed review of the development process of pub-lic security police stations over the past 70 years since the establishment of the People's Republic of China reveals that their positioning and functions have been continuously improved and perfected,and the main defense positioning has become increasingly clear,achieving an overall evolution from"exploratory explora-tion"to"standardized construction".In the long-term historical evolution,the functional positioning of po-lice stations is influenced by multiple factors such as political factors,social factors,and security needs.Currently,there are still problems in terms of functional positioning,responsibility mechanisms,factor con-trol,and technological empowerment.Therefore,it is necessary to clarify the leadership of the main defense rights and responsibilities and standardize the construction of the main defense system;Adhere to putting the people at the center and improving the social governance structure;Adhere to police reform and innova-tion,and create high-quality police service mechanism processes;Strengthen the control of basic elements and comprehensively consolidate the grassroots foundation;Implementing the concept of promoting science and technology to police,and promoting the construction of smart community policing,to strengthen the main defense of police stations.
