湖州籍晚清著名学者汪曰桢学问广博,一生著作等身。天算农医四个中国传统科技分支,他均有程度不等的贡献。其中,尤以方志纂修和历史年代学的成就最为显要,得到当世和后世学者的高度认可。

Wang Yuezhen,a famous scholar of the late Qing Dynasty in Huzhou,had extensive knowledge and devoted his entire life to writing.He has made varying degrees of contributions to the four branches of traditional Chinese science and technology:Astronomy,Mathematics,Agricultural and Medicine.The achievements in compiling local chronicles and historical chronology are particularly prominent and highly recognized by current and future scholars.
