摘要
随着许多发达国家人口的老龄化,据WHO预测,到2040年神经退行性疾病将超过癌症,成为仅次于心血管疾病的第二大死因。因此,寻求干预措施对于减轻这一负担已变得极为重要。基于神经退行性疾病的病理生理机制,高压氧治疗(hyperbaric oxygen therapy,HBOT)可能是一个很好的选择。HBOT一直被用于治疗减压病和伤口愈合等疾病,并且已经证实对与神经退行性疾病相关的症状有潜在的益处。本综述在回顾HBOT应用的历史背景下,重点介绍HBOT在干预治疗神经退行性疾病中的有效性以及其在不同神经退行性疾病中的作用机制。
With aging populations in numerous developed nations,the WHO predicts that by 2040 neurodegenerative diseases will eclipse cancer as the second predominant cause of mortality,following cardiovascular diseases.This impending scenario underscores the critical necessity for innovative interventions to mitigate this public health challenge.Given the intricate pathophysiological underpinnings of neurodegenerative diseases,hyperbaric oxygen therapy(HBOT)presents as a compelling therapeutic avenue.While HBOT has long been utilized for conditions such as decompression sickness and wound recovery,emerging evidence suggests potential therapeutic advantages in the realm of neurodegenerative maladies.The purpose of this review is to review the historical background of the application of HBOT,focusing on the effectiveness of HBOT in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases and the mechanism of action of HBOT in different neurodegenerative diseases.
