Unity and Transformation:A Study on Zhou Enlai’s Thought on National Unity

民族团结是我国民族理论政策的基本原则之一,贯穿于马克思主义民族理论中国化时代化的整个历程。周恩来等中国共产党人在推动民族团结的百年探索过程中,将马克思主义民族理论由理论原则结合中国国情发展为团结各民族的政纲主张,在人民政权建设过程中由基层探索到顶层设计形成了制度建设的经验,中华人民共和国成立特别是社会主义改造完成后进一步丰富发展为系统的政策实践。在“改造”中寻求团结是周恩来民族团结思想的重要方法论,贯穿于周恩来各个时期推动民族团结的实践。改造即建设,在中国共产党百年来推动中华民族团结与改造的意义上,处理民族问题的理论政策既一脉相承又与时俱进。

National unity,one of the fundamental principles of China’s ethnic theory and policy,runs through the entire process of Sinicization of Marxist ethnic.In the century-long quest to promote national unity,Zhou Enlai and other CPC members,developed the Marxist ethnic theory from theoretical principles into political propositions of uniting all ethnic groups in the context of China’s national conditions.In the period of building people’s power,they gained,from grass-roots exploration to top-level design,the experience of developing the system.After the founding of PR China,especially after the completion of socialist transformation,they enriched and developed the Marxist ethnic theory into the systemic practice of policies.Seeking unity through"transformation"is an important methodology of Zhou Enlai’s thought on national unity,and it runs through his practice of promoting national unity of all times.In the sense of promoting unity and transformation of the Chinese nation over the past century,the theoretical policies of the Communist Party of China in dealing with ethnic issues are both consistent and up to date.
