摘要
风景在19世纪美国女作家路易莎·梅·奥尔科特的作品中扮演了重要角色,体现出了民族性、现代性、性别观的丰富内涵。奥尔科特通过将超验主义思想与以康科德为代表的本土风景描写相结合,表达了对美国文化和民族性问题的关注,顺应了美国发展民族文学的时代潮流。风景描写也体现了奥尔科特的激进思想,即借乡村风景表达对现代化进程相关问题的反思,将风景与这一时期女性所处困境以及女权运动的理想诉求相联系。呈现在奥尔科特笔下的康科德不啻为一个理想的民族文化圣地、一片“远离尘嚣”的乐土、一个女性的精神家园,也是大众了解这一时期美国民族文学与女权运动的重要窗口。
Landscape plays an important role in the works of Louisa May Alcott,an American female writer in the 19th century,and embodies her meditations on nationality,modernity and gender perspective.By connecting transcendentalist thoughts with the native landscape in Concord,Alcott expresses her concern for American culture and nationality issues,conforming to the trend in the development of national literature in the United States.The descriptions of the landscape also reflect Alcott's radical thoughts,which is to use the rural landscape to express her reflections on the issues related to the modernization process,and to connect the landscape with the plight of women in this period and the ideal demands of the feminist movement.Concord presented in Alcott's writings is nothing less than an ideal national cultural shrine,a paradise“far from the madding crowd”,a spiritual home for women,and a vital window to understand American national literature and the feminist movement during this period.
