生态翻译学视角下伊宁市公示语英译问题及对策

On English Translation of Public Signs in Yining from the Perspective of Eco-Translatology

公示语作为城市对外宣传的“名片”,在提升城市形象、打造良好社会生态方面具有重要作用。伊宁市作为新疆热门旅游城市,其公示语的英译还存在诸多错误与不规范之处。该文以生态翻译学为视角,从语言、文化、交际三个维度分析了伊宁市公示语英译存在的问题,包括拼写错误、语法错误、信息传递失误、词不达意、信息冗余等。针对以上问题,运用生态翻译学理论,从译者能力与生态意识、译文规范与适应性选择、语料库的建立等方面提出了以下对策和建议:对译者进行专业化的培训,提高其翻译生态意识;训练译者“三维转换”能力,在“适应性选择”与“选择性适应”间寻求平衡;推广普及公示语翻译国家标准,提高译文规范性;建立伊宁市公示语双语语料库,为公示语翻译提供有效参考。

Public signs are like bussiness cards for cities and are essential in improving the city's image and building of healthy social ecosystem.Yining is one of the most popular cities among tourists with a reception of thousands of tourists each year.However,there are still plenty of errors and improper expressions in translations of public signs.Guided by eco-translatology,this paper analyzed the problems and the potential causes in translation of public signs in Yining from linguistic,cultural and communicative approaches.Regarding the problems such as mistakes in spelling and grammar,transmission of information,ambiguity in meaning and redundancy,this paper has proposed measures in terms of translators'ability and eco-awareness,adaptive selection and establishment of corpus.The suggested solutions for the problems are to offer spcialized training for the translators to improve their awareness of translation ecology,to improve their ability to make three-dimensional conversion,to popularize the natinal standards for public sign translation and to build a bilingual corpus of Yining public sign translation to offer a good reference.
