“数字文化资本”:青年群体的数字自我展示与主观社会地位

摘要 随着数字社会的兴起,青年群体有机会呈现自我的生活状态、管理自身的形象,从而实现自我价值感。本研究从建构主义的视角出发,关注数字自我展示对青年群体主观地位的影响,以及家庭背景与个体特征的调节作用,利用2017年CGSS的数据发现:不同阶层出身的青年在数字自我展示方面没有显著的差异;数字自我展示能够提升青年群体的主观社会地位,是一种独特的数字文化资本形式;这种文化资本形式对于家庭背景较低、社会经济地位较差、社会公平感较低的青年群体有着更加明显的积极效果。研究阐明了数字文化资本具有的社会流动效应与社会补偿效应,鼓励青年群体尤其是弱势青年群体在数字社会中表达自我,有助于提振他们对于社会地位的信心。 With the advent of the digital era,young individuals are allowed to present their life circumstances and manage their self-image,thereby realizing a sense of self-worth.Drawing from a constructivist perspective,this study examines the influence of digital self-presentation on subjective social status among young people,while considering the moderating effects of family background and individual characteristics.Utilizing data from CGSS2017,this study indicates no significant disparity in the digital selfpresentation across different social classes among youths.Instead,it is revealed that digital self-presentation can enhance their subjective social status as a distinct form of cultural capital in the digital realm.Furthermore,this unique form of cultural capital exhibits a more pronounced positive impact on youth groups with low family backgrounds,poor socio-economic status,and low sense of social fairness.This study provides insights into the effect of social mobility and compensation of digital cultural capital,indicating that encouraging youth groups,especially marginal youth groups,to express themselves in digital society will help boost their confidence in social status.
