Omeka system is an open source digital collection resource release management platform,it combines the network content release,collection management system functions,can be used to share digital collection information and create multimedia type of online exhibition,and can provide a variety of customized functions for different institutions for different purposes.The article elaborated the Omeka system's origin,application examples,key concepts and internal functions,aiming at the application of Omeka or similar systems in the cultural information work in our country,throw the paving stone to promote the information work of archival collections in our country to achieve informatization and digitization.Especially to help small and medium-sized institutions and departments related to the development of information plays a greater role.
