Transfer matrix is the data basis for the analysis and study of land use change. At present, most scholars directly use the results of transfer matrix to analyze and study land use change, and there is no systematic and detailed study on the data processing process and data calculation principle of transfer matrix. In view of the lack of research on the calculation method of land use change transfer matrix data processing, especially the research on the difficult problem of transfer calculation between field area and other land types, this paper studies the calculation method of land use change transfer matrix data processing.Based on ArcGIS environment, the calculation model is constructed, and the calculation principle of transfer matrix is explained step by step.By testing the data of different regions, the calculation model constructed can accurately calculate the area of transfer change between cultivated land and its margin class, and obtain accurate transfer matrix data of land use change. The research in this paper provides a set of ideas for understanding and mastering the data processing and calculation of the transfer matrix of land use change for natural resources and land use change researchers. At the same time,it also provides theoretical and data support for people to better grasp the change of cultivated land area and realize the"balance of occupation and compensation""balance of access and access",and protection of cultivated land.
