As a rather serious and refractory autoimmune disease,rheumatoid arthritis severely impacts human health.Traditional Zhuang medicine has accumulated a wealth of experience in the prevention and treatment of rheumatoid arthritis.This article summarizes the Zhuang medical understanding of the etiology and pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis from the perspective of “toxic deficiency”, proposing that the invasion of toxic elements is key to the etiology and pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis.The treatment principle of dispelling toxins,supporting the healthy energy,and replenishing deficiencies permeates the entire course of treating this disease.By delving into the source and evolution of the Zhuang medicinal formula Longzuan Tongbi Composition from the experience of ethnic medication in Guangxi,this article provides a preliminary analysis of the composition and compatibility of the Zhuang medical prescriptions,and corroborates the efficacy and safety of Longzuan Tongbi Composition for rheumatoid arthritis through relevant clinical reports.
