Forging a Strong Sense of Community for the Chinese Nation in Cyberspace:Value Logic,Pragmatic Hurdles,and Practical Approaches

中华民族共同体意识是中华民族伟大复兴的信念汇聚和心理依托。网络空间重塑了传统社会模式下基于亲缘、地缘的社会连接模式,拉近了各族人民的人际距离、心理距离和情感距离,成为各族人民生产生活的新场域和新载体。当前,我国网络生态持续向好,基于价值认同、情感互动的网络虚拟社群为各民族间经济、文化及情感交流提供了沉浸式体验空间,不断强化着各民族对中华民族身份的自觉认同和主动归属意识。另一方面,网络空间中仍然存在着网络复杂特性日益熵增、网络民族主义潜在弥散、国际敌对势力不断渗透等复杂问题,对新时代民族工作提出了严峻的现实挑战。为此,在实践层面,应着力于掌握民族领域网络意识形态教育主导权、话语权和管理权;发挥数字技术优势提升媒体传播实效;建立完备的民族法律规范体系,营造各族儿女共居共学、共事共乐的清朗网络空间,为实现中华民族伟大复兴注入强劲动力。

Cyberspace has reshaped the conventional paradigms of social interconnectedness based on kinship and geography.This transformation has significantly narrowed the interpersonal,psychological,and emotional barriers between people of various ethnic groups and the society they live in.Cyberspace has evolved into a new field,serving as both a platform and conduit for the activities and lifestyles of people of all ethnic groups.Related research suggests that cyberspace,as a reflection and virtual extension of real life,has comprehensively expanded the spatial field inhabited by diverse ethnic communities,becoming a new carrier of interethnic communication and integration,a new channel for information dissemination,and a new platform for ethnic affairs governance.Results also indicate that cyberspace,as a novel form of social space,has not only reshaped the basic structure of today s society but has also changed the original ecology of communication,interaction,and integration among various ethnic groups.Despite its virtual nature,the interconnectivity and interdependence exhibited among individuals of diverse ethnic backgrounds within cyberspace are real and not illusory:Individuals engage in economic transactions,cultural exchanges,and emotional bonding in the online space.Consequently,their emotional dependence and positive identification with the overarching Chinese national community continue to be consolidated and deepened.Hence,the inference can be drawn that forging a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation in cyberspace not only is a practical measure to promote the healthy development of ethnic relations,but also a necessary measure to advance the modernization agenda of ethnic affairs governance.Generally speaking,China's current online ecosystem continues to improve,and findings reveal virtual communities based on value identification and emotional interaction provide an immersive experience space for economic,cultural,and emotional exchanges among various ethnic groups.Consequently,they contribute to the sustained reinforcement of individuals conscious identification with and active sense of belonging to the Chinese nation.However,data also shows there are still complex problems in cyberspace,such as the increasing entropy of network complexity,the potential dispersion of network nationalism,and continuous infiltration of international hostile forces,which pose serious practical challenges to ethnic work in the new era.With the increasingly deep connection between cyberspace and the physical world,this paper concludes it is necessary to focus on morphological characteristics,operational logic,and the shaping of the concept of the Chinese national community in cyberspace.This involves strengthening the internal logical relationship of the collective identity of the Chinese national community and exploring the generation laws and improvement paths of the Chinese national community consciousness in cyberspace.The goal for doing so is to achieve a seamless connection between the internal norms,technological frameworks,and the forging of the Chinese national community consciousness on the internet.This,in turn,may lay a solid foundation for deepening the forging of a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation.Therefore,at the practical level,efforts should be made to assume a leading role in directing ideological education,discourse,and governance within the digital environment concerning the field of ethnic affairs,leverage the advantages of digital technology to enhance the effectiveness of media communication,establish a complete ethnic legal framework,and create a clear and inclusive online space where children of all ethnic peoples can learn,work,and enjoy together,potentially injecting strong momentum for the broader goal of achieving the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
