董事长公权动机和企业可持续增长——基于A股上市公司的实证研究

The Board Chairman's Socialized Power Motivation and the Enterprise's Sustainable Growth--An Empirical Study of A-share Listed Companies

摘要 面对不确定性的市场竞争环境,企业如何实现可持续增长是需要解决的关键问题。本文以2010—2020年我国A股上市企业为样本,考察了董事长公权动机和企业可持续增长的关系,以及企业技术创新和组织冗余在董事长的公权动机影响企业可持续增长过程中的作用。研究结果显示,董事长公权动机正向影响企业可持续增长,企业技术创新在其中发挥中介作用,而组织冗余则会分别削弱董事长公权动机对企业技术创新和企业可持续增长的促进作用。本文从高管个体视角拓展了对企业可持续增长影响因素的探讨,揭示了组织冗余和企业技术创新在企业发展过程中的作用,为推动我国企业实现可持续增长提供借鉴。 How to achieve sustainable growth is a key problem for enterprises when the enterprises face market competition environment with high uncertainty.Based on the data of Chinese A-share listed companies from 2010 to 2020,this study examined the effect of the board chairman's socialized power motivation on the enterprise's sustainable growth,as well as the mediating role of technological innovation and the moderating role of organizational slack.The results indicate that the board chairman's socialized power motivation could effectively enhance the enterprise's sustainable growth,technological innovation mediates the relationship between the board chairman's socialized power motivation and the enterprise's sustainable growth,and organizational slack weakens the relationship between the board chairman's socialized power motivation and technological innovation as well as the relationship between the board chairman's socialized power motivation and the enterprise's sustainable growth.The present study expands the discussion on the influencing factors of sustainable growth,and reveals the roles of organizational slack and technological innovation in the process of enterprise development,which helps to promote the sustainable growth of Chinese enterprises.
