With the rapid development of social economy and the continuous progress of electric power industry technology,the safe and stable operation of electric power system has become an important guarantee for social development.The application of information technology has greatly improved the level of electric power safety management,and realized the transformation from the traditional manual monitoring to automation and intelligence.The application of information technology in electric power safety management can not only reduce the accident rate,but also optimize the resource allocation,and enhance the response speed and processing capacity of emergency accidents.This paper aims to analyze the value and specific application of information technology in electric power safety management,discuss its application status and challenges,and put forward the corresponding effective strategies,hoping to provide reference for the information development of electric power safety management.
