Convergence of 6G and AI:External AI and Internal AI

国际电信联盟(ITU)发布的《IMT面向2030及未来发展的框架和总体目标建议书》将AI和通信场景定义为6G的六大场景之一,同时将无所不在的智能作为6G系统的设计原则之一。从6G与AI融合包含的两大方面,即对内AI和对外AI的用例谈起,重点阐述对外AI的两类指标定义方法、对外AI的技术路线、对内AI的设计原则、对外AI和对内AI的逻辑关系以及二者如何融合设计等,最后给出了结论。

The recommendation“Framework and overall objectives of the future development of IMT for 2030 and beyond”issued by the International Telecommunication Union(ITU)defines AI and communication scenario as one of the six scenarios for 6G,and at the same time,ubiquitous intelligence is one of the design principles for 6G systems.In this paper,we start from the two major aspects in the convergence of 6G and AI,i.e.,the use cases of internal AI and external AI,and focus on the two definition methods of the metrics for external AI,the technical roadmap of external AI,the design principle of internal AI,the logical relationship between external AI and internal AI,and how to integrate the design of the two AIs.Finally,the conclusion is given.
