Classical poetry,as the essence of Chinese traditional culture,is imbued with profound cultural significance.Integrating it into children's music education allows children to experience the charm of classical poetry within the realm of music and appreciate the long-standing cultural traditions,which is crucial for promoting their physical and mental well-being.This article explores the feasibility and importance of incorporating the chanting of ancient poetry into primary school music classes.It addresses the practical issues faced,such as the lack of emphasis,shortage of teaching materials,and relatively monotonous teaching methods.The article suggests strengthening support for teaching materials and practices,actively conducting online and offline campus promotion activities,and striving to use music education as a means to explore and innovate in the cultural inheritance and character-building aspects of Chinese classical poetry.
