Xin Ren Cun(New People Village)is a documentary film in the early days of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, which focuses on the transformation of people who were abandoned by the old society. The content about the transformation of“old people”in the film is largely a true reflection of politically oriented social change. In recording and portraying the transformation of“abandoned people”in the old society into“new people”in the new society, especially in presenting the appearance and establishment process of a“new people village”that is completely different from the past, where everyone works, everyone is equal, everyone is respected, and everyone has dignity,Xin Ren Cun has typical significance.By examining the presentation of the transformation of people and space in the film,we can infer the cultural logic, ideology, labor education, and the interactive relationship between the body and the image.
