Tan Tan is a representative writer of Mining Literature,with“realism”serving as a special marker for entering the“landscape”of his texts.His novels not only present a distinctive era landscape but also faithfully record the historical changes of that landscape,while demonstrating a high degree of identification with and active response to the spirit of the times.His recent collection of essays,The Running Fortress,through a unique cultural landscape,documents the significant changes occurring in the rural society of China in the new era.The cultural landscapes shaped by Tan Tan in different texts are not only a manifestation of his personal writing preferences but also an important medium for shaping his identity.
