摘要
教学学术在西方大学组织情境与学术话语中面临合法化困境。教学学术在学科认同上难以获得主流学术共同体的接纳,遭遇大学组织的制度性排斥与边缘化,学术身份认同也陷入矛盾冲突的尴尬境地。合法化困境或可归因于教学学术蕴含教学实践与学术研究双重属性,而两者难以兼容却又杂糅纠缠。这突出地反映为教学学术的概念争议与泛化以及由此而引发的质量标准体系建构的两难困境。为了摆脱合法化困境,大学教学学术的转型势在必行,而其关键点在于从融合走向区分,构建实践取向的教学学术与研究取向的教学学术两条可能的合法化路径。
The Scholarship of Teaching and Learning(SoTL),which has been endowed with various missions,has encountered continuing legitimacy dilemmas embedded within western university’s institutional context and academic discourse.SoTL is not recognized as a legitimate form of scholarship in the mainstream academic community which is based on specific discipline.Due to the lack of institutional support and legitimacy,SoTL is also drifted in the marginal areas of the university.Academic identity of SoTLers is full of confusion,contradiction,and conflict.The transformation of SoTL is necessary to solve the legitimacy dilemmas.The key point lies in the transition from integration to differentiation constructing two possible approaches to gaining legitimacy,i.e.,practice-oriented SoTL and research-oriented SoTL.
