The application of bacteriophage in chicken breeding has become a kind of biological control method.As a natural bactericide,phages target specific bacteria without affecting human and animal health or the environment.In chicken breeding,bacteriophages can effectively control bacterial diseases,such as salmonellosis,colibacillosis,etc.,and reduce the use of antibiotics.Bacteriophages have high biological specificity,are not easy to produce drug resistance,and are also effective against drug-resistant strains,which is a promising alternative to antibiotics.
