Colorful New Silk Road:Digital Preservation of the Traditional Making Craft of Zigong Lantern

在数字媒体语境下,探讨“丝路文化”南方沿线劳动人民传统彩灯制作技艺的保护策略。通过数字化设计方法对其进行立体式保护研究,分别从文字资料“云端”、数字影像、影视动画、口述史音频、VR三维模型、虚拟交互游戏体验等方面来建构数字化研究路径。针对当下彩灯商品市场化严重,传统制作技艺传承困难等现状,使用数字化手段可系统化对其进行保护,有利于技艺永久留存,与此同时也为我国传统手工技艺类非遗保护工作提供新思路。

Within the realm of digital media,the work aims to explore the strategies for preserving the traditional lantern making skills of craftsmen along the southern route of the"Silk Road"in the digital age.The digital design method is constructed to study the three-dimensional protection,and the digital research path is constructed from the aspects of digital imagery,video and animation,oral history recordings,VR three-dimensional models,and virtual interactive gaming experiences.The findings indicate that in view of the serious marketization of lanterns and the difficulty in inheriting traditional making craft,the use of digital means can systematically provide protection,which is conducive to the permanent preservation of the craft,and at the same time,it also provides new ideas for the intangible heritage protection of traditional handicrafts in China.
