Chinese characters,as the most important symbolic carrierfor recording and spreading Chinese culture,carry the excellent traditional Chinese culture.Taking one of the ancient Chinese characters,Bird and Insect Script,as the research objectthis paper firstly analyses the birth and development of Bird and Insect Script,and its font configuration and the artistic characteristics.Then the paper explores the principles and methods of Bird and Insect Script's application in modern design,and carries out the design practice.The study aims to provide reference for the innovative development of Bird and Insect Script in modern design.
