This paper addresses the challenges of translating English terms related to energetic materials into Chinese.Drawing on the author’s extensive experience in translation,the paper delves into the techniques and vocabulary necessary for accurately rendering complex terms,including generated compounds,eutectic compounds,compound words,derived and transformed words,words with new meanings,fixed combinations,abbreviations,as well as product or type codes and commodity terms specific to energetic materials.The aim is to offer guidance and references for professionals engaged in the translation of energetic material literature.
