课程思政背景下新一代高校外语教材开发的思考

摘要 在课程思政背景下,一些大学英语教材被进行了二次开发,主要突出国家意识、中华文化和中国故事,目的是改变原来外语教材主要介绍西方文化、历史、社会、科学和技术等内容和原汁原味语言的做法,转而挖掘中国文化,以培养学生对中华民族、文化、传统和国家立场的认同感。这一做法有一定意义,但这不仅改变了高校外语教材的传统编写模式,也几乎改变了学习外语的目的和性质。我们认为,无论从课程思政的立德树人角度,还是基于国际传播的双向功能,外语教材都应选择西方的文化、历史、科学和技术知识作为主要内容。这是由外语学习的目的决定的,即不仅要让学生学到原汁原味的外语,还要培养他们的跨文化交际意识,提高国际理解力和国际胜任力,同时满足专业学习和未来工作的需要。 In the background of ideological and political education in academic courses,college English teaching materials have undergone the new development to focus on national consciousness and Chinese elements and replace the texts about western culture,history,society,science and technology with Chinese culture so as to cultivate students'identification with Chinese nation,history,society,custom and language.This,however,might bring about the change of the nature of learning foreign languages as well as the traditional way of writing foreign language teaching materials.We suggest that using more materials of western culture in college English textbooks is appropriate in terms of the purposes of foreign language learning.It could enhance cross-cultural awareness,global understanding and global competence to satisfy their needs of academic studies as well as English proficiency.
