A New Exploration into Cultural Pragmatic Presupposition

文章探讨的是作为话语文化语用信息载体之一的文化预设,基于一般预设的语用特性考察文化语用预设,力图发现它和一般预设不同的文化语境需要和功能设定,并把说话者的文化主体信息结合到特征和功能分类之中,这样更能反映出文化语用预设对言语行为,尤其是文化意向凸显的言语文化行为的理据性和合适性等方面的支持作用。尽管文化语用预设的信息并不是言语行为信息的核心组成,但它对言语行为的文化功能升格却有着不可忽略的作用,因此,值得深入探讨。

This paper focuses on cultural presupposition as a carrier of cultural pragmatic information in discourse.By examining cultural pragmatic presupposition based on the pragmatic characteristics of presupposition in a general sense,the study aims to identify the unique cultural context requirements and functional assignments that distinguish it from the average presupposition.Accordingly,the paper attempts to incorporate the speaker’s cultural subjectivity into the classification of its features and functions,thus better reflecting the support that cultural pragmatic presupposition charges into speech acts,especially the rationale and felicity of those with salient cultural intentions.Although the information provided by cultural pragmatic presupposition is not a core component of speech acts,its role in enhancing the cultural function of speech acts is significant enough to warrant in-depth exploration.
