摘要
在对语言偶然性的讨论中,罗蒂提到了隐喻的不可转述性,赋予其新实用主义的内涵。隐喻意义源于实践,服务于实践,其判准不是静态的、封闭的、恒常的,而具有基于主体性和社会化的动态性和流变性。个人创造的隐喻话语合情合境,具有私人合理性,最终进入终极词汇表的隐喻话语在“种族中心主义”协同性的作用下获得社会合理性,两套话语系统服务于不同的目标,均拥有各自的实用效应,不可二次转述或他者替代,故具备不可转述性。探究罗蒂隐喻的不可转述性,把握他的语言哲学思想成果和走向,不仅是对罗蒂哲学思想的进一步深入研究,而且对整个语言哲学的发展都具有重要意义。
Richard Rorty destructed“centralization”in philosophy and opened up the path of post-philosophical culture driven by edification philosophy and imagination.In discussion of language contingency,Rorty developed unparaphrasability of metaphor,giving it the connotation of new pragmatism.The meaning of metaphor stems from practice and serves practice.Its judgment does not remain static,closed,and constant,but dynamic and fluid hinging on subjectivity and socialization.The metaphorical discourse of individuals contextually appropriate is personally justifiable.The metaphorical discourse that eventually integrates into the final vocabulary is socially justifiable under the role of solidarity.Both discourses provide service for people in terms of different goals and have their separate pragmatic effects,being unparaphrasable and infelicitous for substitution,thus laying foundation for unparaphrasability of metaphor.Delving into Rorty’s metaphorical unparaphrasability and grasping his linguistic philosophy and ideological achievements and trends is enlightening and profitable for further research on Rorty’s philosophical thought and also the progress of the linguistic philosophy globally.
