从政治化阐释到普世性解读:《酒国》英译中的海外中国文学形象研究

From Politicized Interpretation to Universal Reading:A Study of International Image of Chinese Literature in the English Translation of The Republic of Wine

摘要 海外中国文学形象的塑造包括译者对作品的文学性再现,传播者与接受者对译本的多样化阐释,反映了海外受众对中国文学的心理认知。为了更系统地揭示当代海外中国文学形象的建构特征与困境,文章基于《酒国》的英译本,从译者对小说语言的陌生化再现以及对作者人文思想的再现分析译本的文学性,接着在Factiva数据库中检索英美杂志对译本的评介文章,通过高频实词分析译本传播过程中的宣传重点及其建构起的小说文学形象,最后爬梳Goodreads网站的读者评价,分析读者对小说的认知,发现《酒国》在英语世界的文学形象夹杂着政治化阐释和文学性赞扬。笔者认为,中国文学的海外传播不仅要注重语言形式,更要引导阐释中国作家的人文思想,进而走出海外政治化阐释的误区,强化作品的普世性价值解读,促进形成积极正面的海外中国文学形象。 The formation of the international image of Chinese literature involves the artistic rendering of Chinese literary works in translation,as well as the diverse interpretations of these translations in dissemination and reception,reflecting overseas readers'perception of Chinese literature.To systematically reveal the features and challenges in constructing the contemporary image of Chinese literature abroad,this paper examines the English translation of The Republic of Wine.It analyzes the literariness of the translation through the translator's representation of both the novel's defamiliarizing language and the author's humanistic thoughts.Using the Factiva database,it then delves into the promotional focus and the constructed literary image of the novel through an analysis of high-frequency lexical items in reviews published in English and American magazines.Finally,it examines readers'reviews on Goodreads,revealing that the literary image of The Republic of Wine in the English-speaking world is characterized by a mix of politicized interpretations and literary acclaim.This paper argues that the overseas dissemination of Chinese literature should focus not only on linguistic forms but also on the interpretation of the Chinese writers'humanistic thoughts.This approach helps to avoid the pitfalls of politicized interpretations and enhances the universal value of the literary works,thus fostering a positive international image of Chinese literature.
