[Purpose/significance]It aims to explore the feasibility of patent navigation in traditional industries.[Method/process]This paper analyzes the application conditions of patent navigation in traditional industries,summarizes the general rules of traditional industrial upgrading,puts forward the logic and method model of patent navigation application in traditional industries,and takes the Chinese herbal medicine industry as an example.[Result/conclusion]The application of patent navigation to traditional industries can accelerate the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries by promoting the transfer and transformation of patented technologies.
