摘要
《会饮篇》是古希腊哲学家柏拉图所写的一篇具有回忆式性质的对话性篇章,通过文中的七位主人公从不同的角度、立场、用不同的身份对爱若斯进行不同的阐释,是一篇探讨爱若斯本质的作品。他们之中分别有修辞学家、智术师、医生、喜剧诗人、悲剧诗人、哲学家、政治家,值得我们注意的是这些参与者全是男性,而文中女性的出现也仅仅出局限于他们的颂词中。如今,女性主义思潮日益受到人们的重视,对古希腊时期柏拉图的作品——《会饮篇》中的女性角色的进行解读,了解其背景、思想内容、进步性与局限性对于研究和发展当代女性主义思想具有重要的现实意义。本文试图从《会饮篇》颂词中涉及到的女性人物入手,重点落在柏拉图借苏格拉底之口述说的第俄提玛这一女性人物形象上,来探讨柏拉图的女性观。
The Book of The Symposium,a dialogue of a reminiscent nature written by the ancient Greek phi-losopher Plato,is a work that explores the nature of Eros through the seven protagonists in the text,who interpret it from different perspectives,positions,and with different identities.Among them are a rhetorician,a magician,a doctor,a comic poet,a tragic poet,a philosopher,and a statesman.It is worth noting that these participants are all men,and the presence of women in the text is limited to their homilies.Nowadays,feminist thinking is getting more and more attention,and it is of great practical significance for the study and development of contemporary feminist thinking to interpret the female roles in Plato’s work The Symposium in the Ancient Greek period and to understand its background,ideological content,progress and limitations.This paper at-tempts to explore Plato’s view of women by starting from the female characters involved in the Ode on The Symposium and focusing on the female character of Diotima,which is described by Plato through the mouth of Socrates.
