The technical advantages,technical difficulties and operational problems of transformer vacuum on-load tap-changer are analyzed by the authors in this paper.Based on the problems in the operation of the on-load tap-changer,the necessity of vacuum on-load tap-changer maintenance and overhaul strategy is proposed,which can provide certain guidance and reference for future research work.
