The world today is undergoing the most profound holistic transformation since the industrial era.Social structures are rapidly evolving into an intelligent society,and economic structures are transitioning into an intelligent economy.The first modernization driven by the industrial revolution is accelerating into the second modernization driven by the intelligent revolution.Consequently,knowledge systems nurtured by the industrial revolution,the industrial society,and the first modernization,as well as the corresponding knowledge systems constructed in modern history,are bound to undergo profound transformations in response to changes of this new era which requires and will undoubtedly generate new theories and ideas.An era of great social transformations is invariably a time of significant advancements in scientific technology and philosophical social sciences.Facing unprecedented changes in human society in a century,the construction of an independent knowledge system is timely for contemporary China.This aligns with the inevitable logic of the development of China's scientific technology and philosophical social sciences,represents the noble mission of the new era for China's scientific and philosophical communities,and presents a historic opportunity for China to reach the forefront of global scientific and philosophical advancements.
