“Consolidating and Developing the Broadest Patriotic United Front”:A Review of the Centennial United Front Work of the CPC(PartⅢ)

1978年12月,党的十一届三中全会召开,实现了党的历史上具有深远意义的伟大历史转折,党和国家进入了改革开放新时期,统一战线也进入了一个新的历史发展阶段。适应党和国家工作重心转移到以经济建设为中心的社会主义现代化建设,统一战线拨乱反正,调动一切积极因素,努力化消极因素为积极因素,团结一切可以团结的力量,促进祖国和平统一。以爱国主义、社会主义为旗帜,统一战线的范围、对象和内容都有了新的发展,团结海内外中华儿女共同奋斗。进入新时代,在以习近平同志为核心的党中央坚强领导下,统一战线进一步开拓创新、巩固发展,全面贯彻落实党的创新理论,构建和完善大统战工作格局,为推进“四个全面”战略布局和“五位一体”总体布局,实现“两个一百年”奋斗目标,作出了新的贡献。

In December 1978,the third plenary session of the 11th Communist Party of China(CPC)Central Committee was held,realizing a great historical transition of far-reaching significance in the history of the Party.The Party and the country entered a new period of reform and opening-up,and the united front also entered a new stage of historical development.Adapting to the shift of the focus of the work of the Party and the country to socialist modernization centred on economic construction,the united front has redressed chaos and restored order,mobilized all positive factors,striven to turn negative factors into positive ones,and rallied all the forces that can be united to promote the peaceful reunification of the motherland.Under the banners of patriotism and socialism,the scope,object and content of the united front have seen new developments,uniting Chinese sons and daughters at home and abroad in their common struggle.Entering a new era,under the strong leadership of CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core,the united front has further pioneered and innovated,consolidated and developed.It has fully implemented the innovative theory of the Party,constructed,and improved the overall work pattern of the great united front,made new contributions to promoting the Four-Pronged Comprehensive Strategy and the Five-Sphere Integrated Plan,and realize the Two Centenary Goals.
