侯馬盟書用筆維度譾論

Preliminary Analysis of the Brushwork of the Houma Covenant Texts

侯馬盟書作爲迄今發現最早的大體量手寫體朱書文字,對漢字之發展演變過程有着重要意義,就書法藝術而言,其顯著特徵爲手寫朱書,能够直接還原當時書寫者之書寫狀態,又可爲當代書者書法創作之取法與用筆提供參考,指明方向。文章旨在對侯馬盟書之用筆維度進行研究,從其自由書寫與二次完成、蝌蚪筆法與“篆引”筆法、源自一源與流向多流等多個方面進行探討,并找尋出與侯馬盟書同時代相类或相似之文字,以探究手寫朱書與刻鑄文字、簡牘文字之異同。通過大量對比,可以深刻瞭解侯馬盟書之用筆特性與手寫朱書之當代價值,亦可從中窺得文字之發展歷程。

The Houma covenant texts,as the earliest specimens of handwriting in vermilion of any volume so far found,are of great significance for the development and evolution of Chinese characters.As far as the calligraphy is concerned,its prominent feature is that it is in vermilion,allowing us to reconstruct the original writing conditions of the scribe and also providing a reference point and a new orientation for contemporary calligraphers in the practice of their calligraphic style.This paper aims to study the brushwork of the Houma covenant texts,considering the unrestrained handwriting of the first draft in comparison to that of the final completion,the style of the so-called tadpole script(kedou)and the zhuan script.It also aims to discover characters similar to those found in the Houma covenant texts in writing specimens of the period,in order to explore the similarities and differences between handwriting in vermilion and engraved characters and cast inscriptions,as well as bamboo and wooden slips.Through wide comparisons,the paper contributes to the understanding of the brushwork features of the Houma covenant texts and of the value of handwriting in vermilion in the period,and gives an insight into the development of Chinese writing.
